About the Project:
TCU Consulting Services, LLC, was competitively selected to manage the Montgomery County Commission building program. The total program budget for this project was $52 million. Construction began in September 2006 with the facility scheduled to open in July 2009. The six-story, 69,769 SF building will have 300 steel cells to hold nearly 700 inmates. The design of this facility incorporated sustainable design features. Stainless steel curtain walls were designed for their thermal properties and energy savings. The curtain walls are also 100% recyclable and are made of 80% recycled materials.
